former Detroiter of Atlanta, died June
13, 2005. He was a graduate of
Northern High School and received
his bachelor's and law degrees from
Wayne State University, where he
served as president of Pi Tau Sigma
(which later merged with Sigma Alpha
Mu) and was also active in Tau
-
Epsilon Rho law fraternity.
Mr. Bihary served in World War II,
where he achieved the rank of captain
in the U.S. Army Air Corps and
served as a prosecutor and judge advo-
cate. He began his law practice in
Detroit with the firm Maile, Leach
and Bihary. • In addition to his com-
mercial practice, he devoted many
hours to pro bono legal work for the
Disabled American Veterans of World
War II.
In 1968, Mr. Bihary founded a ply-
wood importing company, Paul . I3ihary
& Associates, which supplied door
manufacturing factories nationwide.
In 1979, after retiring from business,
the Biharys moved to Palm Beach,
Fla., where they resided until 1998,
when they moved to Atlanta to be
near family. He was an avid Detroit
Tigers fan, as well as _a lover of opera
and big band music. His affiliations
included the Michigan Bar ,
Association, the American Bar
Association, the American Arbitration
Association, and the National
Woodworking Manufacturers
Association; he also belonged to
Temple Israel and the Pisgah chapter
of B'nai Kith.
Mr. Bihary is survived by his
beloved wife of 59 years, Edith Uden
Bihary; beloved daughters, Sheila
Bihary of San Francisco, Joyce Bihary
(Jon Lowe) of Atlanta; beloved grand-
children, Jane Lowe and Jimmy Lowe.
Private graveside services were held
at the Hebrew Cemetery in
Greensboro, N.C.

LUBA BOND, 96, of Oak park, died
Sept. 6, 2005. She was a life member
of Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
Hadassah and many other organiza-
tions. She chaired programs for senior

citizens at Lincoln Towers and was
called "mayor of Lincoln Towers."
Mrs. Bond is survived by her daugh-
ter, Eleanor Alper of Southfield; sister,
Adele Miller of Chicago; grandchil-
dren, Richard Alper, Susan (Richard)
Schwartz; great-grandchildren, Evan
and Dustin Schwartz. She was the
beloved wife of the late Fred Bond;
sister of the late. Dave Miller.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to a charity of one's choice.

Chapel.

CHARLOTTE ERMAN, 87, of

Farmington Hills, died Aug. 31, 2005.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Jeffrey and Kathy
Erman of Detroit, Jerome and Linda
Erman of Louisville, Ky., Michael and
Joan Erman of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, Stephen, Darren and
Lysie Erman. She was the beloved wife
of the late Irving Erman; sister of the
late Joseph Aaron.

BESS LUPILOFF GOLDBERG, 79,

of Bloomfield Hills, died Sept. 3,
2005. She was an active member and
supporter of City of Hope and JARC.
She is survived by daughters and
sons-in-law, Karol and Douglas Ross
of West Bloomfield, Barbara Berent-
Rubinstein and David Rubinstein of
West Bloomfield; son, Howard
Lupiloff of Willoughby, Ohio; grand-
children, Dr. Mitchell Rose and Dr.
Elizabeth Gagen, Douglas Rose and
Jelena Subotic, Julie Ross-Rose, Daniel
Berent, Amy Berent, Kenny Berent
and Amy Berent, Erica Lupiloff, Keith
Lupiloff; brothers and sisters-in-law,
Joseph and Emily Krinsky of
Bloomfield Hills, Sam and Marsha
Krinsky of Arizona, Nathan and Sheri
Krinsky of Onaway, Mich.; sisters-in-
law and brothers-in-law, Marian
Lupiloff, Shirley Silverman. She was
the beloved wife of the late Harold
Lupiloff and the late Clarence
Goldberg; devoted sister-in-law of the
late Albert Lupiloff and the late
Maurice Silverman.
Interment at Machpelah Cemetery.
