Park, died Aug. 20, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon
Slutsky; son, Michael Slutsky of Oak
Park; daughter, Diane Slutsky of Oak

Marsha and Ken Miller of Oak Park;
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law,
Elaine and Lester Levine, Inez and
Gerald Bonneville.

DOREEN STRICOF STETSON,
68 ; of Chicago, formerly of Detroit,
died Aug. 19, 2005. She was an
administrative assistant at a retirement
home, a volunteer at an animal shel-
ter in Chicago and an active supporter
of the Humane Society and the Anti-
Cruelty Society.
Ms. Stetson is survived by brothers
and sisters-in-law, Norman and Kathy
Stricoff of Bloomfield Hills, Alan and
Elizabeth Stricof of Colorado Springs,
Colo. She was the beloved daughter
of the late Pauline Stricof and the late
Jerome Stricof.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be

McCarthy, died Aug.
11, 2005, in
Washington, D.C. He
was 90.
Time magazine once
called Mr. Rosenblatt
"the lobbyist with a
green thumb for controversy."
After earning a degree in economics
from the University of Wisconsin in
1936, Mr. Rosenblatt moved to New

York City and became a union
activist, a civil rights organizer and a
leader of Friends of Democracy, a
grassroots political action group that
combated local fascist and racist
organizations.
Mr. Rosenblatt
served in the Army in
the South Pacific dur-
ing World War II. He
later joined the
American League for a
Free Palestine, better
known as the Bergson
Group after its leader,
Peter Bergson. He relo-
cated to Washington to
become its chief lobby-
ist, launching his lob-
bying career.
Mr. Rosenblatt met with members
of Congress and the Truman adminis-
