bourine, a recent service of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek was quite
aptly named, "Rockin' and Rappin'
with the Rabbis."
The event "is a casual, outdoor pic-
nic Shabbat celebration for families,"
said the group's lead guitarist, Rabbi
Jonathan Berkun. On keyboard was
Rabbi Eric Yan.off with Rabbi Joseph
Krakoff shaking the tambourine.
The program, which has taken place
four times each summer for the last
couple of years, is aimed at bringing
together young families.
The rabbis lead the musical service
from a special siddur written by Rabbi
Berkun, which includes the service in
Hebrew, English and transliteration, as
well as pictures for the younger con-
gregants.
