Jacob Joseph Moss of Franklin will
become a bar mitzvah at Temple Shir
Shalom Saturday, June 4. He is the
son of Patty and Bruce Moss and
brother of Alex and Mallory. Proud
grandparents are Joanne and Don
Purther. He is also the grandson of
the late Milton Smith and the late
Edith and Sam Moss.
Jake is an honor student at
Berkshire Middle
School in Beverly
Hills. His mitzvah
projects include
working at a sum-
mer-in-the-city
program and at It's
A Mitzvah Day. He
also worked at
Cookies and
Dreams to raise
money for Camp Mak-A-Dream.
Benjamin David Nadis was called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday,
May 28, at Congregation Beth Ahm
and will be called to the Torah as a
bar mitzvah on Saturday, June 4, at
the Butzel Conference Center,
Ortonville. Ben is the son of Beth
and Ronn Naclis and the brother of
Emily and Rebecca. He is the grand-
son of Dr. Maxwell and Sara Nadis
and Dr. Aaron and Rochelle
Lupovitch.

Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan
Detroit in
Farmington Hills,
where he is a
Hebrew honor stu-
dent. He has
enjoyed participat-
ing in the Dor I. Dor project with
seniors at the Fleischman Residence in
West Bloomfield. His mitzvah project
is "You Can Save Israel," and he raised
funds by collecting donations of bot-
tles and cans. The money will be
donated to Alyn Hospital and
PizzaIDF.org in Israel, when he travels
there with his family this summer.
Sarah Jayne Richard was called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah Friday, May
27, at Temple Emanu-El. She is the
daughter of Karren and Jay Richard.
Her grandparents are Ruth Goldstein
and Barbara and Donald Richard. She
is also the granddaughter of the late
David Goldstein and the great-grand-
daughter of the late Betty Creger.
Sarah is an honor student at Norup
School in Oak Park. For mitzvah
projects, she volunteered at Silver
Lake Animal Rescue League, where
she remains a vol-
unteer. In addition,
Sarah has been col-
lecting school sup-
plies for a youth
village, located out-
side Jerusalem, that
houses "at risk"
children. She will
deliver these sup-
plies herself when she travels to Israel
this summer with her family and
temple.
Erinn Rachel Sandberg will read from
the Torah on the occasion of her bat
mitzvah Saturday, June 4, at Temple
Beth El. Participating with Erinn will
be her parents, Cyndy Sandberg and
Daniel Sandberg,
and her sister
Lauren. She is the
granddaughter of
Marabel and
Martin Hackelman
and Dr. Hershel
Sandberg and the
late Lois Sandberg.
Erinn is a seventh-
grade honor stu-
dent at Walled Lake Middle School.
She enjoyed volunteering this past year
at the ORT Resource Center and at
Shalom Street's children's museum,
both in the West Bloomfield JCC.
Jennifer Lynn Topor will read from
the Torah during Havdalah services to
celebrate her bat mitzvah Saturday,
June 4, at Temple
Israel. Her parents
are Karen and
Larry Topor and
her sisters are
Jessica and Julie.
She is the grand-
child of Ardis and
Herbert Avey. She
is also the grand-
child of the late
Clara and Harry Topor.
An honor student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield,
Jennifer chose to volunteer in the reli-
gious school office at Temple Israel
and at the Fleischman Residence in
West Bloomfield as part of her mitz-
vah projects.
Hannah Marie Tout, daughter of Julie
and Tim Tout, will celebrate her bat
mitzvah at Temple Israel as she reads
from the Torah Friday, June 3. She is
the sister of Justin and Emma. Her
proud grandparents are Sharon and
Merrill Fishman and Gail Band.
