Jesse Harrison Frank will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Saturday, May 14, at Temple Emanu-
El. He is the son of Steven and Joan
Frank and the brother of Zoe. Proud
grandparents are Rabbi Bernard and
Toby Frank of
Dresher, Pa., Judy
Solomon of
Birmingham and
Robert Solomon of
Topanga Canyon,
Calif.
A seventh-grade
honor student at
Birmingham's
Derby Middle
School, Jesse volunteered during the
MS 150 Bike Tour, helped fit and dis-
tribute bikes to underprivileged kids
through Variety Club's Bike For Kids
program and works with special needs
students at Derby Middle School. He
also raised money for Michigan
Humane Society as part of his mitz-
vah projects.

Arianna Racheal Goodman (Avia
Razel) of West Bloomfield will be bat
mitzvah at Temple Beth El Saturday,
May 14. Participating in the ceremo-
ny will be her parents, Dennis
Franklin Goodman and Denise
Marilyn Goodman.
Proud grandmoth-
ers are Helen
Goodman of West
Bloomfield and
Geraldine Fruman
of Southfield. She
is also the grand-
daughter of the late
Ralph Goodman
and the late Jacob
Fruman.
Arianna is seventh-grade student at
Berkshire Middle School in Beverly
Hills. Her mitzvah projects included
bingo with Danto Health Care Center
residents, a social-action skate board-
ing fund-raiser for Care House, the
Humane Society in Pontiac, Baldwin
Soup Kitchen and art projects with
JARC residents.
