LAWRENCE CRANTZ, 73, former
Detroiter of Scottsdale, Ariz., died
May 2, 2005. He was founder and
HARRY GOLDSTEIN, 88, of Los
Angeles, formerly of Detroit, died
May 3, 2005. He received his bach-
elor and master's degrees from
Wayne State University and taught
theater at Wayne State. He also
became a teacher, principal and
administrator in the Detroit public
school system. He was also a well
known radio actor for over 50 years,
his voice known in all of the Lone
Ranger, Green Hornet and Sgt.
Preston of the Yukon radio shows. He
was also well known for his voice-
overs, including the advertising for
the Detroit News.
Mr. Goldstein was also a member
of the "The Actors' Company", a
non-profit repertory company, was
on T.V. and was the prosecutor for
the early T.V. show Night Court in
Detroit.
He is survived by his daughters,
Cynthia Goldstein of Los Angeles,
Deborah Goldstein of Salem, Ore.
He was the beloved husband of the
late Yetta Goldstein; dear compan-
ion of the late Edythe Shevitz; cher-
ished brother of the late Mollie
Tafler, the late Arthur Stone, the
late Sam Stone, the late George
Stone and the late Mamie Kogan.
Interment at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery.

JENNIE ROTHMAN JONES, 95,
of Beachwood, Ohio, formerly of
Detroit and Sarasota, died May 6,
2005. She was past national chair of
Jewish Welfare Federation, national
- board member and past president of
Hadassah, a member of the national
board the Girl Scouts and a found-
ing member of Temple Israel. She
was also the women's chair for
United Jewish Appeal and was active
with United Community Services,
the League for the Handicapped and
the Cerebral Palsy Association. Mrs.
Jones was named Woman of the
Year in 1963 by the Women's
Advertising Club of Detroit and was
the first Female Butzell Award win-
ner for Leadership in Detroit Jewish
Community.
In 1976, she moved to Sarasota,
where she continued her volunteer
