Shir Tikvah Marks Winter
Congregation Shir Tikvah will host a
winter celebration 7 p.m. Saturday,
Jan. 22, at the synagogue.
The event is sponsored by the con-
gregation's social committee and will
include food, music and comedy enter-
tainment. Food donations and volun-
teers to set up and serve are needed.
Participants can bid on artworks and
gifts, and take part in a raffle. Proceeds
will benefit synagogue programs. The
cost for the evening is $10 per person
or $18 per couple for members and
$15 per person for non-members,

Congregation B'nai Moshe will celebrate
Tu b'Shevat with a community holiday
theme dinner for all ages and a shiur for
teens and adults, Monday, Jan. 24.
The dinner will take place from
6-7:30 p.m. and will be buffet-style,
featuring a menu built around the
"seven species" celebrated in the Bible
as being special grains and fruit associ-
ated with the Land of Israel.
Reservations are required for the din-
ner: $21.20 for adults, $15.90 for
children ages 4 through 11; no charge
for children ages 3 and younger.

Moshe Institute for Lifelong Jewish

shiur for adults and teens, featuring
