died Dec. 28, 2004.
She is survived by her mother, Phyllis

Lake; sister-in-law, Sandra Gross-Samet.
She was the loving daughter of the late
Harry Samet; dear sister of the late
David Samet.

JUDITH MAYER SCHNEIDER, 74,
of Franklin, died Jan. 1, 2005. She
attended Colby College in Maine, where
she earned a bachelor's degree. In 1974,
she became a client of and eventually
group leader and coordinator for the
Continuum Center at Oakland
University, where
she was able to
help women move
through the cultur-
al shift from
housewife to work-
ing outside the
home. This led to
her master's in
counseling from
Oakland
Schneider
University. She was
also a docent at the Detroit Zoo.
Mrs. Schneider is survived by son,
Jason Schneider of Shelburne Falls,
Mass.; daughter and son-in-law, Martha
"Leah" Schneider and Ken Silverman of
Pinehurst, N.Y.; granddaughter, Rachel
Kenner and her mother, Katie Kenner;
brother and sister-in, John and Barbara
Mayer of Bloomfield Hills. She was the
beloved wife of the late Arthur
Schneider; devoted sister of the late
David Mayer and the late Henry Krolik.
Private interment. Contributions may

ILONA SCHWARTZ, 87, of West
Bloomfield, died, Dec. 31, 2004. Prior
to retirement in 1987, for 15 years she
was a dental technician at Ohio State
University.
Mrs. Schwartz is survived
by her son and daughter-
in-law, Andrew and
Barbara Budai of Walled
Lake; grandchildren,
Robert and Kerry Budai
and Eric Budai; great-
grandchildren, Austin and Riley Budai.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Kalman Schwartz; loving sister of the
late Veronica Vamos and the late Steven
Vamos, both of whom perished in the
Holocaust.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
