HENRY ROSE, 95, of Farmington
Hills, died Dec. 15, 2004. He was a
florist from 1929-1993. After graduat-
ing from Northern High School, he
worked for a flower shop owned by
Mr. Lorenzo on Woodward Avenue
from 1929-1934.
From 1934-1936,
he had a small
shop on Davison.
From 1936-1968,
he owned a shop
on Woodward
Avenue in
Detroit.
After the riots,
Mr. Rose moved

his flower shop to
Nine Mile and
Coolidge in Oak Park. He was a life
member of Knights of Phythias and the
Furniture Club.
Mr. Rose is survived by wife, Jane
Rose of Farmington Hills; sons and a
daughter-in-law, Stuart Rose and Trina
Duncan of Poqueson, Va., Kenneth
Rose of Lady Lake, Fla.; grandchildren,
Douglas and Elizabeth Rose, Michael
