Attending Norup Middle School
in Oak Park, where she is an honor
student, Lauren volunteered at the
Children's Leukemia Foundation,
helping prepare for their annual
Holiday Toy Program, in addition
to working with Temple Israel's
Kallah Program as part of her mitz-
vah work.

Lauren Elizabeth Giuliani, daughter
of Terri and Dr. Jim Giuliani and
sister of Kelly, will
celebrate her bat
mitzvah at Temple
Israel Saturday,
Dec. 11. Her
proud grandpar-
ents are Jules
Tabak and Frances
Giuliani. She is
also the grand-
child of the late
Estelle Tabak and the late Albert
Giuliani.
Lauren attends West Bloomfield's
Abbott Middle School, where she is
an honor student. She helped at
Temple Israel's Labor Day picnic in
addition to serving lunch at a shel-
ter in Pontiac as part of her mitzvah
projects.

Mitchell Zachary Greenstein will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
Sunday, Dec. 12,
at Congregation
Beth Shalom. He
is the son of Anne
and Eugene
Greenstein, broth-
er of Louise,
grandson of Sima
Greenstein and
the late Harold
and Esther Ellias.
Mitchell attends Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills.

Merrick Alana Jacob (Zipora) of
West Bloomfield celebrated her bat
mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 4, at

Southfield. She is

Jacob and the sis-

League, and has made clothing for
the children of Operation School

she celebrated her
bat mitzvah

in Flint. She is the
daughter of Cyndi
and Tom Mott
and sister of
Lindsay Palinsky.

and Jackie Sorkin of West
Bloomfield and Joe and Connie
Palinsky of Edgewater, Fla.
Adria is an eighth-grade honor
student at Grand Blanc Middle
School. Her mitzvah project is col-
lecting personal care items for
women and children who seek shel-
ter at the YWCA of greater Flint.
