Jillian is a double honor student
at Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. Some of her mitzvah projects
are serving in the Dor L:Dor pro-
gram at the Felischman Residence in
West Bloomfield, volunteering a
week at Camp Betman in West
Bloomfield and making donations
to Yad Ezra in Berkley.

Joshua Eric Simon, son of Lisa and
David Simon, will celebrate his bar
mitzvah on
Saturday, Dec. 11,
at Temple Beth
El. He is the

brother of Jeffrey
and the grandson
of Sally and Elliott
Shepard of
Southfield and
Sharon and
Marvin Waits of Laguna Woods,
Calif. He is also the grandson of the
late Richard Simon.
Joshua is an eighth-grade honor
student at Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. As part
of his mitzvah projects, he helped
distribute food at Yad Ezra in
Berkley, donated books, toys and
clothing to the Pontiac Lighthouse
Shelter and served as a teacher's aide
for the kindergarten class at the
Temple Beth El religious school on
Sundays.

David Aaron Warshaw will read
from the Torah, Saturday, Dec. 11,
at Temple Israel
as he celebrates his
bar mitzvah. His
parents are Lynne
and Thomas
Warshaw. He is
the brother of
Jennifer, Jonatho,
and Julia and his
proud grandmoth-
er is Helen Sallen.
He is also the grandson of the late
Philip M. Sallen and the late
Dorothea and Henry Warshaw.
David is an honor student at
Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills. Spending time
with children at Friendship Circle as
well as volunteering at Temple
Israel's Labor Day picnic were part
of his mitzvah projects.
