CAMPAIGN

New B'nai B'rith Unit

John Rofel, past president of B'nai
B'rith Great Lakes Region, will help
launch the new baby boomers unit of
B'nai B'rith, Bloch/Israel. Rofel is presi-
dent of the new unit. The meeting will
be 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Fiddler
Restaurant in West Bloomfield.
To be installed with Rofel are Myrna
Fisher and Rita Roth, co-vice presidents
of programming; Marsha Rofel, vice
president of communications; Sid Roth,
vice president of membership; Nancy
Leland, vice president of fund-raising;
Walter Rosenblum, treasurer. Also to be
installed on the new board as trustees
are Otto Dube and Marilyn Grocoff.
This is a group of couples and singles
in the 40-55 age range.
Bobbie Levine, regional program
coordinator, will be installing officer.
There will be acknowledgement of past
presidents of Bloch/Israel and recogni-
tion of the 50-year members.

Alliance Sets Dialogues

Offering perspective on today's informal
education of Jewish youth, Federation's
Alliance for Jewish Education will pres-
ent Community Dialogues with special
guests Michael Brandwein and Rabbi
Michael Mellen.
The free conference, designed specifi-
cally for youth professionals, youth
group leaders, as well as up-and-coming
teens in leadership roles, will be held on
Sunday, Dec. 5, at the Birmingham
Public Schools Conference Center,
31010 Evergreen Road in Beverly Hills.
Registration will begin at 2:45 p.m.
The conference will run until 7 p.m.
with dinner provided. Dietary laws will
be observed.
Bradwein is recognized internationally
for his innovative techniques in man-
agement, communications and leader-
ship development. Rabbi Mellen is
founder of Jewish Youth Works, a com-
pany dedicated to staff training and
youth programs for Jewish camps,
youth groups, schools and synagogues.
Robert Gordon co-chairs the Alliance
Informal Education Committee with
Susie Leemaster.
