RENOWNED AUTHOR

Elmore Leonard is, arguably, our area's most famous
resident. He has written over 20 highly acclaimed
books, many of which have been made into films with
Jackie Brown and Get Shorty as the most notable. He
was born in New Orleans but moved to Detroit at the
age of 10. A number of his books are set in Detroit,
including "Mr. Paradise" published earlier this year.
His newest book, "Coyote In The House," is his first
foray into children's literature.
