Nathan Adam Mondry will celebrate
his bar mitzvah Saturday, Oct. 23, at
Temple Beth El. He is the son of Ira
and Gail Mondry, brother of Jacob
and Aaron and
grandson of
Miriam Mondry
and Mickey and
Saul Greenfield.
He is also the
grandson of the
late David
Mondry.
Nathan is a sev-
enth-grader at
Detroit Country Day School in
Beverly Hills. For his mitzvah proj-
ects, he worked at the Crooz and
Schmooz fund-raiser at Temple Beth
El and performed a concert for resi-
dents of the Hechtman. Apartments i
West Bloomfield. Nathan also started
a foundation for music education in
Israel, which he will support through
his bar mitzvah gifts.

Caryn Lila Roberts, daughtei of Sue
and Bob and sister of Jake and Dirk,
will become a bat mitzvah at Temple
Kol Ami Saturday, Oct. 23. Proud
grandparents are Fred and Beverly
Apel and Bill Roberts.
Caryn attends Dunckel Middle
School in
Farmington Hills.
Her favorite mitz-
vah project was
volunteering for a
week at Camp
Timbers in North
Branch, where she
cut down trees,
made a new path
and built a bridge.
In memory of her late grandmother
Carolyn Apel, Caryn also made a
donation to help fight against cancer.

Daniel Jacob Rosenberg will be
called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah
on Saturday, Oct. 23, at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek West
Bloomfield, B'nai Israel Center.
Sharing in the simchah will be proud
parents, Richard and Pat, and brother
Josh.
Dan is a double
honor student at
Hillel Day School
of Metropolitan
Detroit in
Farmington Hills.
He was a member
of the Detroit JCC
Maccabi track
team, winning a
silver medal. Dan

was also active in this year's Relay for
Life event and was the top fund-raiser
for his team.

Lauren Michelle Rouff will celebrate
her bat mitzvah on Friday, Oct. 22, at
Temple Israel. She is the daughter of
Linda and David Rouff and the sister
of Ben. Her proud grandparents are
Sylvia and Leonard
Rouff and Norma
Zelch. She is also
the grandchild of
the late Raymond
Zelch.
An honor stu-
dent at Walnut
Creek Middle
School in Walled
Lake, Lauren made
decorations and helped prepare for
the Temple Israel shelter parties as
part of her mitzvah projects.

Sharlyn Michelle Steyman, daughter
of Irene and Alan Steyman, will read
from the Torah as she celebrates her
bat mitzvah
Saturday, Oct. 23,
at Temple Israel.
Her grandparents
are Rakhil and
Grigory Rubin,
Milya Shteyman
and the late Leonid
Shteyman.
Sharlyn is a stu-
dent at Orchard
Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. For part of her mitzvah
projects, she chose to help with
Adopt-a-Road by cleaning up Walnut
Lake Road; she also volunteered at
Temple Israel's Labor Day picnic.

Zachary Louis Weber, son of Lyn and
Stephen Weber, will read from the
Torah on the occa-
sion of his bar
mitzvah Friday,
Oct. 22, at Temple
Israel. He is the
brother of Marissa,
Todd and Stefani.
His grandparents
are Richard Zickel
and Florence
Weber. He is also
the grandchild of the late Louis
Weber and Irene Kottke.
Zachary attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. One of
his mitzvah projects included volun-
teering at the Denby Orphanage; he
also worked at Temple Israel's library.
