Carly Alana Chocron will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Adat Shalom
Synagogue Saturday, Oct. 23. She is
the daughter of Larry and Denise
Chocron and older sister of Emily and
Rachel. Proud grandparents are
Salomon Chocron, Robert Kaufman
and Carol Bendersky, all of West
Bloomfield. Carly is also the grand-
daughter of the late
Carole Kaufman
and the late Mimi
Chocron. She is the
great-granddaugh-
ter of the late Vicki
Memran.
Carly is an honor
student at Orchard
Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. As part of
her mitzvah projects, she helped dis-
tribute food at Yad Ezra in Berkley
and she made dolls at Hadassah
House in West Bloomfield.

Justin Benjamin Davis will celebrate
his bar mitzvah as he reads from the
Torah Saturday, Oct. 23, at Temple
Israel. He is the son of Margie and
Marc Davis and the brother of Jared.
Sharing the simchah will be his grand-
parents Diane and Ron Davis,
Richard Williams and Carol Cooper.
He is also the grandchild of the late
Marian Ruskin
Williams and the
late Anne Loewy
Williams.
Attending
Orchard Lake
Middle School in
West Bloomfield,
where he is an
honor student,
Justin donated
books to Bookstock as part of his
mitzvah projects and also volunteered
at Gleaners food bank in Detroit.

Justin Adam DePriest will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Friday,
Oct. 22, at Temple Shir Shalom. He
is the son of Lori DePriest and Larry
DePriest and brother of Danielle.

Oct. 23, at
Congregation Shir
Tikvah. He is the
brother of Jacob,
Noah and Caleb
and the grandson
of Harold and
Phyllis Duchan of
West Bloomfield
and Shirley Bennett of Montague,
Mich., and the late Benjamin Bennett.
Ben is an eighth-grade student at
Eton Academy in Birmingham. His
mitzvah projects included playing taps
for a memorial service for the Jewish
War Veterans and concerts with his
trumpet and piano for nursing home
residents.
