vah projects,
together with his family, he delivered
for Meals on Wheels through
Federation and also helped at Temple
Israel during the sheltering of the
homeless.

Laura Elyse Katsnelson (Tziporrah
Rivkah) will be called to the Torah as a
bat mitzvah at Congregation B'nai
Moshe Saturday, Oct. 16. She is the
daughter of Ruth
(Moss) and
Gennady
Katsnelson, grand-
daughter of Dr.
Victor and Helen
Moss, Tsilya
Katsnelson and the
late Solomon
Katsnelson and sis-
ter of Julie
Katsnelson.
Laura is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Walled Lake Middle School.
She has volunteered for the Sierra
Club and has helped with neighbor-
hood clean up.

Joshua Aaron Lowenthal, son of
Kathy and Jeff
Lowenthal, will
read from the
Torah on the occa-
sion of his bar
mitzvah, Saturday,
Oct. 16, at Temple
Israel. He is the
brother of Julie,
Erika and Gabby.
His excited grand-
parents are Sheila and Burton Rissman
and Doreen and Robert Lowenthal.
He is also the grandchild of the late
Geraldine Rissman and the late Elaine
Lowenthal; he is the great-grandchild
of the late Anna and Harry Korman
and Goldie and Max Rissman.
Josh attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. As part of his mitzvah projects,
he made a donation to Variety
Children's Charity and helped at the
club's day at the ballpark. He also sang
and danced for seniors at a Fleischman
Residence birthday party in West
Bloomfield.
