BETTE ROSEN, 83, of Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla., died Sept. 19, 2004.
She sang opera off Broadway as a
young woman and continued in choirs
and shul performances throughout her
life.
Mrs. Rosen is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Fred and Harriett
Rosen of West Bloomfield; daughters,
Renee Sophier of Chicago, Sue
Schmidt of Chicago; grandchildren,
Jamie Rosen, Brad Rosen, Scott
Sophier, Steven Sophier; brother and
sister-in-law, Herbert and Norma
Levine of Arizona. She was the beloved
wife of the late Sidney Rosen.
Interment in Florida. Contributions

Aging Services or a charity of one's

HERBERT ROSEN, 73, of Florida,
died Sept. 17, 2004. He was a CPA.
Mr. Rosen is survived by his wife,

Bright of West Bloomfield; grandchil-
dren, Rebecca, Harrison and Sydney
Bright, Philip, Benjamin, Daniel and
Lucas Rosen; brother and sister-in-law,
Lawrence and Joyce Rosen. He was the
loving father of the late Gary Bennett

ANNA ROTHENBERG, 93, of
Southfield, died Sept. 16, 2004. She
was an executive in the grocery busi-
ness, a member of Oak Park Seniors,
50 UP Club; and she was active with
March of Dimes as well as being a vol-
unteer on the Election Board as an
inspector.
Mrs. Rothenberg is survived by a son
and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Sheila
Rothenberg of Southfield; daughters
and sons-in-law, Hetty and Zachary
Davies of Oak Park, Ellie and Charles
Gersten of Phoenix; grandchildren,
Miriam and Louis Pardo, Bonnie and
Keith Cox, Noah Rothenberg, Dane
Rothenberg, Rachel Gersten and Adam
Gersten; great-grandchildren, Justin,
Devin and Jacob Cox; sister-in-law,
Nettie Rothenberg. She was the
beloved wife of the late Albert
Rothenberg; loving sister of the late
Selina Penchuck, the late Abraham
Bettinger, the late Hyman Bettinger
and the late Ruth Jolson; devoted sis-
ter-in-law of the late Harry
Rothenberg and the late Edward
Rothenberg.
