The MBA program will begin with a
self-assessment survey by participants
and a discussion of society's view of the
"ideal woman." The program will be
held at the Laker Education Complex,
2075 Walnut Lake Road, west of
Inkster, West Bloomfield.
The program fee is $5 and pre-regis-

Michigan Region B'nai B'rith Girls
(BBG) is inviting all Jewish girls inter-
ested in BBG membership to their
Mind, Body, Attitude (MBA) kickoff
program 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26.
Entitled Yesh Lanu Koach, Yesh Lanu
Ruach (We have strength; we have
spirit), the MBA program promotes
fitness, nutrition and a positive image
among Jewish girls in 9th-12th
grades.
The program will feature:
• Ken Levy teaching kickboxing
techniques
• Healthy food demonstrations by
Whole Foods, including donated
snacks
• A fashion show by Guys & Gals
clothing store
• Makeovers provided by MAC
Cosmetics
• Gifts and raffles for kickboxing
memberships, haircuts, natural
cosmetics and other personal care
products.

Several medals were omitted from the
Detroit JCC Maccabi dance team
results published Sept. 3. Dana Hertz
won a gold medal in age 15-16 ballet
solo. Mindy Raminick won bronze in
13-14 jazz solo.
In Boston, Michael Schwartz, son of
former Detroiters Eric Schwartz and
Mandi Perlin, led the Los Angeles boys
15-16 baseball team to a gold medal
against Boston. Schwartz hit a bases-
loaded triple and drove in all four runs
in L.A.'s 4-3 victory
