Entitled Yesh Lanu Koach, Yesh Lanu Ruach (We have strength; we have spirit), the MBA program promotes fitness, nutrition and a positive image among Jewish girls in 9th-12th grades. The program will feature: • Ken Levy teaching kickboxing techniques • Healthy food demonstrations by Whole Foods, including donated snacks • A fashion show by Guys & Gals clothing store • Makeovers provided by MAC Cosmetics • Gifts and raffles for kickboxing memberships, haircuts, natural cosmetics and other personal care products. Several medals were omitted from the Detroit JCC Maccabi dance team results published Sept. 3. Dana Hertz won a gold medal in age 15-16 ballet solo. Mindy Raminick won bronze in 13-14 jazz solo. In Boston, Michael Schwartz, son of former Detroiters Eric Schwartz and Mandi Perlin, led the Los Angeles boys 15-16 baseball team to a gold medal against Boston.
