NEIL ZALES, 76, of Bloomfield
Hills, died Sept. 8, 2004. He was a
tax attorney and worked for the IRS
before going into private practice.
Mr. Zales was a World War II veter-
an. He graduated from Central High
School, University of Illinois for his
undergraduate degree and from
Wayne State University Law School.
He was a member of the American
Bar Association, Congregation
Shaarey Zedek and had been a mem-
ber of Congregation B'nai David.
Mr. Zales is survived by his wife,
Brenda Zales of Bloomfield Hills;
daughter and son-in-law, Hilary and
Larry Handler of Birmingham; son,
Bruce Zales of San Diego; grandson,
Jacob Albert Handler; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Arnold and Esther
Belinsky, Joan and Ed Pollak, Fred
and Tina Belinsky and Helene
Bofman. He was the beloved son of
the late Harry Zapolsky and the late
Goldie Klein; devoted brother of the
late Sheldon Zales; loving son-in-law
of the late Irving and the late Lily
Belinsky.
