Synagogues open doors to the unaffiliated.

any areas synagogues wel-
come non-members on the
High Holidays. In addition,
most will make arrangements for those
who have difficulty paying for tickets.
Check with individual synagogues for
service times, to make reservations or
purchase tickets. Synagogues offering
non-member tickets or conducting spe-
cial services include:
• Adat Shalom Synagogue: Non-
members are welcome. Call the syna-
gogue for ticket information.
• Congregation Beth Ahm: Non-
members age 26 and older: $250 for all
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur servic-
es; students (and medical interns and
residents) age 25 and younger, free with
ID card.
• Temple Beth El: Non-member
service held on Rosh Hashanah and
Yom Kippur at no charge, but tickets are
required.
• Temple Beth Emeth, Aim Arbor:
Non-member tickets: $125 per person
for each Rosh Hashanah and Yom
Kippur.
• Beth Israel Congregation, Ann
Arbor: Non-member tickets available at
$130 for each Rosh Hashanah and Yom
Kippur.
• Congregation Beth Shalom: Non-
member cost: $300 for Rosh Hashanah
and Yom Kippur; age 22 and younger:
free.
• Birmingham Temple: Non-mem-
ber tickets: $200 for all High Holiday
services; $100 all Rosh Hashanah servic-
es only and $100 for all Yom Kippur
services only; $50 for each day of servic-
es for each holiday. No charge for chil-
dren. Memorial service may be attended
at no cost.
• Congregation B'nai Moshe: No
charge for tickets for college students
with a school ID., medical or dental
interns and residents and those who are
new to the community. A limited num-
ber of tickets are available to unaffiliated
families with children who attend the
Pitt Child Development Center at the
JCC. Yom Kippur Yizkor services are
open to non-members by making a
donation to the synagogue.
• Chabad Jewish Center of
Commerce: No charge for attending
High Holiday services.

• Congregation Chaye Olam: Non-
member cost: $150 for both Rosh
Hashanah and Yom Kippur; $100 for
Rosh Hashanah only or Yom Kippur
only. Ticket price will be deducted from
cost of membership dues should mem-
bership be acquired.
• Temple Emanu-El: Non-members
may attend services on Yom Kippur
afternoon, from 2:30 p.m. until the end
of the service.
• Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue:
No charge. No tickets required.
Millennium Theatre, Southfield.
• Temple Kol Ami: In lieu of non-
member tickets, 90-day trial member-
ships — at no cost — include participa-
tion in synagogue programs and events
including High Holiday seating. Those
who are not members of a congregation
but who have children at the Pitt Child
Development Center at the JCC are
welcome at the 3 p.m. multigenerational
service on Rosh Hashanah and 9 a.m.
on Yom Kippur.
• Sara Tugman Bais Chabad Torah
Center: Non-members are welcome to
attend and pay what they can. Home
hospitality is also available.
• Congregation Shaarey Zedek: A
limited number of non-member tickets
are available at $350 for Rosh Hashanah
and Yom Kippur. A non-member service
is also offered for both holidays: $90-
adults, $45-students, children free.
• Temple Shir Shalom: Non-mem-
bers considering future membership are
welcome.
• Congregation Shir Tikvah: Non-
members are welcome at the family serv-
ice at 3 p.m. on Rosh Hashanah and
Yom Kippur and at the 5:15 p.m. Yizkor
services until the end of Yom Kippur.
• The Shul-Chabad Lubavitch: $50
suggested donation for both Rosh
Hashanah and Yom Kippur tickets.
• Congregation T'Chiyah: There is
no charge to non-members.
• Temple Israel: Members may bring
non-member guests on Rosh Hashanah
evening. Services for children age 8 and
younger are available to non-members
on both holidays, but tickets are
required.
• Young Israel of Oak Park Non-
members seeking to attend High Holi-
day services should call the synagogue.
• Young Israel of Southfield: Non-
members are welcome. Call for
