Rachel Michelle Gubow of
Huntington Woods will celebrate her
bat mitzvah at Temple Emanu-El on
Saturday, Aug. 28. She is the daughter
of David and Dottie Gubow, sister of
Jackie, granddaughter of Estelle
Gubow, Margaret Kolinski, the late
Judge Lawrence Gubow and the late
Joseph Kolinski. Proud great-grand-
mother is Gladys
Gubow.
Rachel is an
honor student at
the Academy of the
Sacred Heart in
Bloomfield Hills.
For her mitzvah
projects, she volun-
teered at Oakland
County Special
Olympics, at the Temple Emanu-El
Purim carnival and at Huntington
Woods summer camps.

Brian is an
eighth-grader at
Berkshire Middle
School in
Birmingham. For
his mitzvah proj-
ect, he collected used tennis racquets,
which he will distribute to a commu-
nity recreation center in Detroit. He
