RUTH SOLOWAY KLEIN, 88,
formerly of Erie, Pa., died June 17,
2004. She graduated from Academy
High School and then moved to live
in New York, where she worked as a
buyer and manager for women's spe-
cialty shops.
Mrs. Klein was a member of
Congregation B'rith Sholom and
Temple Anshe Hesed and their sis-
terhoods, Hadassah, and National
Women's Zionist Organization of
which she was a president and life
member.
Mrs. Klein is survived by her sons
and daughter-in-law, Michael and
Marcy Klein of Bloomfield Hills,
Douglas Klein of Erie and fiancee
Carolyn Gold; daughter and son-in-
law, Cynthia Klein Tolner and Mark
Winderemere of Florida; sister, Nina
Lincoln of Florida. She was the
beloved wife of the late Samuel
Klein; devoted daughter of the late
Samuel Soloway and the late Tillie
Goldstein Soloway; dear sister of the
late Marcus Soloway, the late
Frederick Soloway and the late
Connie Soloway.
Interment in Laurel Hill
Cemetery in Erie, Pa. Contributions
may be made to the Michael and
Marcia Klein Research Fund,
University of Michigan Health
System, 301 E. Liberty, Suite 300,
Ann Arbor, MI 48104. This

DAN KRAUSS, 92, of Ann Arbor,
died June. 21, 2004. He was a used
trailer manager for Freauhauf Trailer
Company and he was active with
the Jewish Community Center of
Ann Arbor.
Mt. Krauss is survived by sons
and daughter-in-law, Art Krauss of
Spencer, Mass., Michael and Judy
Krauss of Asafed, Israel; daughter
and son-in-law, Alice and Byron
Roe of Ann Arbor; 13 grandchil-
dren; three great-grandchildren; spe-
cial friend, Ruth Gewanter. He was
the beloved husband of the late
Pauline Krauss.
Interment at Beth Israel Section of
Arborcrest Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to one's favorite charity.
