trains JHCN rabbis in hospice care
and the special clinical skills needed
to effectively work with individuals
and families facing end-of-life care.
Rabbinical staff are trained and
accredited as chaplains and serve as
contingent staff to many hospices,

AUDREY FISHMAN 1929-1976

All who met Audrey in her travels through life fell in love with her
extraordinary beauty, her graciousness, elegance & compassion.
She is sorely
missed by her grieving family, many of who'm were never privy to this
remarkable woman in her lifetime.

Imprisoned in the hospital for 6 months fighting the dread disease that
ravaged her body, she endured horrific pain and suffering with the courage
and optimism to the very end.

BETTY GOLD, 81,- of Farmington
Hills, died June 11, 2004.
Mrs. Gold was a civil defense cap-
tain during World War II, volun-
teered at Channel 56 reading pro-
gram, was a grey lady at Sinai
Hospital, chairman of the PTA at
Vandenberg School and a den moth-
er, Brownie leader and a USY leader.
She is survived by her daughters

and a son-in-law, Barbara Azimov
and Robert Skolnick of Encino,
Calif., Geri Gold of Glendale, Calif.;
son, Elliot Gold of Rochester Hills;
grandchildren, Alysa Azimov and
Jack Mueller, Erica Azimov and Jon
Gold. She was the beloved wife of
the late Bernard Gold; dear daughter
of the late David and the late Fanny

She was a graduate of graduate of

School, a music

University of
Michigan and an
accomplished
pianist.
She and her hus-
band launched a
number of busi-

nesses involving all
her children: a
publishing compa-
ny produced Shakespearean coloring
books, drawn by daughter Melinda;
a catering company run frclm the
Green kitchen, the Marigold Dill
Cheesecake Co., produced gourmet
cheesecakes for restaurants and ban-
quet halls enlisted the children as
assistant chefs.
Mrs. Green was the owner of
Birmingham Bead Store and True-
Faux Jewelry Store in Birmingham
from 1973-1999. She was a member
of Congregation Shaarey Zedek and
the Birmingham Business Associa-
tion and published many books,
including the Green Family Cook
Book in the early 1970s.
Mrs. Green is survived by her chil-
dren, Melinda and Dr. Jeffrey Tepler
of Rye, N.Y., Amy Thrasher of
Arlington, Va., B. David Green of
New Zealand, Elliot Green and
Robin Read of New York City,
Rebecca and Bruce Sher of
