the late Fay and Ted Rotblatt and Sheila
and Martin Silverman of University
Heights, Ohio.
Melissa is in the seventh grade at
Solon Middle School. Her mitzvah
project was to donate 10 inches of her

hair to Locks of Love. She is also a vol-
unteer at the Solon Jewish Preschool
Summer Camp and a service leader at
the Chabad Center. She will donate and
help to plant potted flowers from her
centerpieces to the Forever Children
Home.

Michael Strausz, son -of Richard and
Brenda Strausz of Southfield, are delight-

Michael is the grandson of Lloyd
Strausz and the late Bertha Strausz and
the late Sam and Sylvia Horowitz. Kate
is the granddaughter of Adrian and
Elibet Marshall, Joe Moore and the late
Dolores Moore.
Michael and Kate are both Ph.D. stu-
dents at the University of Washington
studying political science. Kate is a grad-
uate of Wellesley College in Wellesley,
Mass.; Michael is a graduate of Michigan

State University. An August wedding is
planned in Seattle.
