Teen Connection
Goes For Sports

Detroit Teen Connection will enjoy
miniature golf, rock climbing, laser tag,
the high ropes course and the arcade at
Joe Dumar's Fieldhouse in Shelby
Township on Sunday, Jan. 18. The
event is open to all Jewish seventh and
eighth graders.
The program includes three activity
passes, transportation, adult supervision
and refreshments. The cost for mem-
bers is $28 and $32 for first-time
guests.
A bus will leave the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park at 1
p.m. and the West Bloomfield JCC at
1:30 p.m. The bus will return at 5:30
p.m. to West Bloomfield and 6 p.m. to
Oak Park.
Reservations must be made in

On Friday, Jan. 23, at 7:30 p.m., B'nai
B'rith Great Lakes Region will host a
Shabbat service at Temple Beth El in
Midland as part of its outreach program.
Marsha Rofel, cantorial soloist, will
join a student rabbi in conducting the
service. Otto Dube, funeral director at
Ira Kaufman Chapel in Southfield, will
speak on "Life After Death: Jewish
Style."

The Jewish Community Center in West
Bloomfield will offer break camps for
children in grades K-5 on Monday, Jan.
19, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and
Feb. 16-20 for February break.
Each day will include sports, games,
gym or outdoor activities, swimming,
arts and crafts and in-line skating.
Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,
with extended care available.
