In recent years, Shirley Eder has
been unable to accompany her hus-
band to the social events they both
loved. "I would stay with my mother,"
said John Slotkin, "and they would
always kiss each other goodbye."
Mr. Slotkin was a "remarkably sweet,
decent fellow," his son said. "He never
passed judgment on anyone."
Mr. Slotkin is survived by his wife,
Shirley Eder Slotkin; daughter, Toni
Eder Slotkin of New York; and son,
John Samuel Slotkin of Bloomfield
Hills.
He was the dear brother of the late
Selma Hyman and the late Hugo
Slotkin.
Interment was in New York.
Contributions may be made to the
Alzheimer's Association, 17220 W. 12
Mile, #100, Southfield, MI 48076, in
honor of wife, Shirley Eder; or to the
Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy
Service, 24123 Greenfield, Southfield,
MI 48075. Arrangements by Ira
