Farmington Hills, died Aug. 7, 2003.
He was the collision shop manager for
Dwyer and Sons Volvo/Subaru.
Mr. Goldhaber is survived by his
beloved wife, Sandra Shapiro; son,
Jonathon Layne of West Bloomfield;
daughter, Robyn Beresh of Farmington
Hills; mother, Leatrice "Lee" Shlom of
West Bloomfield; mother-in-law and
father-in-law, Carol and Rod Artz of
Smart, Fla.; father-in-law, Harold
Shapiro. He was the dear son of the late
Marvin Goldhaber; son-in-law of the late
Molly Shapiro.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may be

SHIRLEY M. HOCHMAN, 98, of
West Bloomfield, died Aug. 11, 2003.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Lawrence Hochman
and Elise Marcheff of Livonia; grand-

Hochman. She was beloved wife of the
late Dr. Edward Hochman.
A memorial service was held at
Dorfman Chapel in Farmington Hills.

ARTHUR KLEIN, 81, of Southfield,

died Aug. 4, 2003. Mr. Klein was
born in Vienna, Austria, and was a res-
ident of Detroit for 58 years. He was a
prominent retailer and entrepreneur
who owned and operated AAA
Discount Drug Store, Barton's candy
stores and Stereo City.
Mr. Klein is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Sheldon and Judy
Klein of Silver Spring, Md.; daughter
and son-in-law, Janice and Mark
Kettler of Portland, Ore,; brother,
Isaac Klein of Baltimore, Md.; grand-
children, Daniel Klein, Devorah
Klein, Adina Klein, Gabriel Klein,
Adam Kettler, Brian Kettler.

Hebrew Memorial Park. Arrangements

FAYE LAFER, 90, of Southfield, died
Aug. 6, 2003. She was a cosmetics
sales consultant and a member of
Northwest Child Rescue.
Ms. Lafer is survived by her sister,
Esther Oppenheim of Southfield; sister-
in-law, Freda Infer; nieces and nephews,
Harriet and Isadore Shear, Pearl and Al
Colburn, Shirley Friedman, Ronald
Smith, Steven T afer, Wendy Lafer, Marla
Lafer. She was the loving sister of the late
Rose Smith, the late Goldie Gold and
the late Red Infer. Interment at Hebrew
Memorial Park.

RICHARD LEVINE, 58, formerly of
Waterford, of Steamboat Springs, Colo.,
died July 10, 2003. He graduated from
the University of Miami of Ohio and
Wayne State University Law School.
Mr. Levine was formerly an assistant
prosecuting attorney with Oakland
County and was a criminal defense
