Alexander Todd
Ferber was called to
the Torah as a bar
mitzvah on
Saturday, May 17,
at the Shul. Proud
parents are Jodi and
Lindsay Gross and
Ronda and Ron
Ferber. His siblings
are Brett Ferber, Samuel Ferber,
Rosabel Ferber, Darin Gross, Jake
Gross and Gabrielle Gross. Loving
grandparents are Miriam and Fred
Ferber of West Bloomfield, Shelly
and Marvin Friedman of
Bloomfield Hills, Eleanor and Larry
Jackier of West Bloomfield. He is
also the grandson of the late
Maurice Alpert. Joyous great-grand-
parents are Mae Forstadt of Florida,
Sonia Kudowitz of Florida. He is
also the great-grandson of the late
Rose Ferber.
Alexander is an honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. He
enjoys sports, traveling and spend-
ing time with family and friends.
He is involved with the Friendship
Circle in West Bloomfield and the
Michigan Friends of the Israel
Defense Forces.

Finkelstein, son of
Elnora and James
Finkelstein, will cel-
ebrate his bar mitz-
vah at Havdalah
services May 24 at
Temple Israel. He is
the brother of
Alexander and Olivia and the
grandchild of Florence and Dr.
Lionel Finkelstein. He is also the
grandchild of the late Loretta and
James Austell.
Ian is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in
West Bloomfield. He is an award-
winning musician, who plays piano,
oboe and drums and also enjoys
working on the computer. As part
of his mitzvah projects, he played a
piano recital for the residents of
Fleischman Residence in West
Bloomfield.
