Saturday, May 24,
at Temple Emanu-
El. She is the
daughter of Robin
and Richard Gold
and big sister of
Brian and Rayna.
Sharing in their joy
are grandparents Martin and Claire
Belsky and Roz Gold. She is also
the granddaughter of the late
Robert Gold.
Rebecca is an honor student at
Norup Middle School in Oak Park,
where she is a member of the year-
book committee and plays clarinet
in the band. For her mitzvah proj-
ects, Rebecca worked at several
temple dinners and the temple day
camp, and is a member of RECS,
the Huntington Woods/Oak Park
community youth group, where she
participated in many community
projects.

Samantha Claire
Gordon will be
called to the
Torah as a bat
mitzvah on
Saturday, May 24,
at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek
Southfield.
Participating in the ceremony will
be her parents, Stacy and David
Gordon, brother Jacob and proud
grandparents Arlene and Ron Licht,
Clara and Harvey Gordon.
Samantha is an honor student at
West Hills Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills, where she plays
tennis and volleyball and is on the
swim and track teams. She also
enjoys skiing, spending time with
family and friends and attending
Camp Walden in Cheboygan.
Samantha has been involved in
many mitzvah projects. The most
meaningful was assisting the dis-
abled during the Jewish
Community Center Fame Games.

24. They are the
children of Art and
Helene Indianer; their sister is
Stacy. Proud grandparents are

and Helen Indianer.
They are also the
grandchildren of
the late Blanche
Brasch.
Stephanie is a
sixth-grade double honor student at
Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills, where
she is on the basketball, soccer and
tennis teams. She is also on a sum-
mer swim team. Stephanie partici-
pates in many mitzvot, including
assisting at Jewish Family Service,
Relay for Life, Yad Ezra in Berkley,
Kadima and Hadassah in numerous
hands-on projects.
Brian is a seventh-grade double
honor student at Hillel Day School,
where he is on the basketball and
track teams. He participates in many
mitzvah projects, including assisting
at Jewish Family Service, Relay for
Life, Kadirn
- a, Yad Ezra in Berkley
and JARC homes in numerous proj-
ects.

Marisa Tobi Kaye
will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitz-
vah Saturday, May
24, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek West
Bloomfield, B'nai
Israel Center. Her
parents are Ellen and
Rick Kaye of Bingham Farms. She is
the sister of Marty and Kim Kaye of
Farmington Hills, Joel and Jen Kaye
of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Heather
Kaye of Brooklyn. Also sharing in
the simchah will be grandparents
Berdie and Fred Prime of Rancho
Bernado, Calif, and Freda Vernoff of
West Bloomfield. Marisa is also the
granddaughter of the late Harry Kaye
and the late Sam Vernoff.
Marisa is an honor student at
Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham. She plays piano and
clarinet and is on the swim team of
Cranbrook Swim Club. She loves
attending Tamarack Camps and
Camp Michigania in the summer.
Marisa's most meaningful mitzvah
project has been leading
RummyCube games for elderly resi-
dents of Meer Apartments in West
Bloomfield.

Lauren Jill Kerwin, daughter of
Cheryl and Dr. Ronald D. Kerwin,
will lead services and read from the
Torah on the occasion of her bat
mitzvah on Friday, May 23, at
