Resources, a Detroit-
based organization that enables com-

Eli Greenbaum, a screenwriter from
Birmingham, has been awarded a resi-
dency at the Ragdale Foundation for
the winter/spring session of 2003.
Ragdale is a nonprofit, international
artists community in Lake Forest, Ill.

Judge Barry M. Grant of Southfield,
chief judge pro tern of the Oakland
County Probate Court, has been elected
vice chair of the Judicial Tenure
Commission.

Deborah Hitsky of Southfield debuted
her new book, Survey sfor Conversation,
published by Pro Lingua Associates of
Brattleboro, Vt., at the
Teachers of English as a
Second Language
(TESOL) convention
in Baltimore. The book
is a series of 48 take-
home surveys leading to
classroom conversations.
Hitsky is a teacher and
coordinator of Ferndale's
English as a Second
Language program at the Jewish
Community Center in Oak Park. She
contributes CyberSpot columns about
Jewish Web sites to the Jewish News.
