Shoah Forum
This year's Holocaust Symposium of
the Michigan Jewish Institute, an Oak
Park-based senior college, will feature
Rabbi Charles Rosenzveig, founder and
executive director of the Holocaust
Memorial Center in West Bloomfield,
as the keynote speaker, followed by a
panel discussion on the topic "Bringing
Life to the Lessons."
The program will take place 6:45-9
p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Shul,
6890 W. Maple Road, West
Bloomfield.
The Holocaust Symposium marks
the culmination of MJI's "Exploring
the Holocaust I and II," two college-
level courses open to high school jun-
iors and seniors for dual enrollment
through their public schools as well as
current college students and adult
learners. The courses meet one evening
a week during a 15-week semester at
Berkley and Andover (Bloomfield Hills)
high schools. Course participants,
prospective students and their families
are invited to the symposium.
Michigan Jewish Institute offers asso-
ciate and bachelor of applied science
degree programs in business and com-
puter information systems technology.
