SARAH LEE SEGEL, 70, of Royal
Oak, died April 17, 2003. She was
raised in Detroit and moved to
Southfield in 1957, where she raised her
family. She loved music and used to play
the bass. Mrs. Segel also enjoyed old
movies, bingo and card games.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Steven and Ginny
Cartier of Bloomfield Hills, Garry and
Sue Segel of Clawson, Allan and Diane
Segel of Royal Oak, Mitchell and Cheri
Segel of Clarkston; daughter and son-in-
law, Monica and Tom Beauvais; brother
and sister-in-law, Yale and Ruthe Kaliff
of Detroit; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kaliff;
grandchildren, Phil, Jason, Jamie, Brian,
Zachary, Cassidy, Joey, David, Mathew,
Josh. Mrs. Segal was the beloved wife of
the late Joseph M. Segel; loving sister of
the late Al Kaliff, the late Phyllis and
Oscar Anderson, the late Hilda and
Aaron Kushner.

MILTON SHOPNICK, 81, former
Detroiter of Peoria, Ariz., died April 10,
2003. Upon retirement from Wayne
State University, he moved with his wife,
Shirley, to Arizona to be closer to family.
He was active in local synagogue and
local bands, playing clarinet
He is survived by his daughters, Rinah
Shopnick and Fae Ghormley; grandchil-
dren, Tara Ghormley, Steven Shopnick,
Keith Shopnick.

she was the co-owner of Smith's Outlet
Shore in Pontiac. She was also a member
of Congregation Beth Ahm.

DANIEL BARNETT WITKIN, 34, of
San Jose, Calif, formerly of Michigan,
died April 12, 2003. He was a shipping
and receiving manager for Roxshox.
Mr. Witkin is survived by his mother,
Judith Barnett; brother, Nathan Witkin;
sister, Marie 'Witkin; grandmother,
Geraldy-ne Witkin. He was the beloved
son of the late Howard Witkin; loving
grandson of the late Serene Adell.
Interment in California. This
