sity baseball team opened its
season with a 4-1 victory over Warren
Immaculate Conception on April 1.
Sam Yashinsky pitched a four-hitter
and struck out 11. Offensively, he
matched Immaculate Conception by
himself with four hits and drove home

The Walled Lake Western junior
varsity soccer team includes two
Jewish kickers — sophomore Heather
Hobetman and freshman Michelle
Ellis. Ellis'was one of only three fresh-
men to make the JV team. She scored
her first goal in the team's second
game, a 2-1 loss to South Lyon. -
The IHC Snipers, the 10-and-under
travel team from the InLine Hockey
Center at the West Bloomfield JCC,
placed second in the TORHS roller
hockey regional tournament in
