FAINA MARATEMYANOV, 58, of
Canton, died Jan. 15, 2003.
She is survived by her husband, Vladimir
Martemyanov; parents, Leyzer and Zelda
Selektor; daughter and son-in-law, Inna
and Sergey Belikov of Canton; brother and
sister-in-law, Josef and Sofia Selektor of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren, Maxim,
Kathy.

Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

DR. SIMON W. MAROKO, 79, of
Sylvan Lake, died Jan. 14, 2003. For 40
years, he was a psychiatrist in Pontiac and
established Pontiac State Hospital HIP
Unit (Hospital In-Patient Unit). He was
also an accomplished singer and musician,
member of Planned
Parenthood and the
Michigan Medical
Association.
Dr. Maroko fought in
the Israel war for ind-
pendence and led the
Canadian Army High
Holiday services at the
end of World War II.
Dr. Simon
Mr. Maroko participated
Maroko
in the Spielberg tapes,
worked on a kibbutz
and graduated from
medical school in Amsterdam.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth
Maroko; son and daughter-in-law, Eli and
Beth Maroko; daughters and son-in-law,
Armonite Albalak, Doris and Dr. Joshua
Loew; grandchildren, Jordan, Alex and
Abby Maroko, Kinneret and Alon Albalak
and Justin and Nathan Loew.

BETSY ANNE MILL, 64, of San Diego,
Calif, formerly of Detroit, died Dec. 20,
2002. She was owner of BZ Betsy, a desk-
top publishing company. She was active in
San Diego politics and was a member sev-
eral clubs, including Toastmasters and
NAIC investment groups.
Mrs. Mill is survived by her husband,
Martin; son and daughter-in-law, Ethan
and Jessica Idenmill of Carmichael, Calif;
brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Natalie
Kendler of Troy; sisters and brother-in-law,
Edith and Seymour Terebelo of Oak Park
and Doris Silber of Silver Spring, Md.

Memorial services were held in San
Diego.

JOSEPH SCHMIDT, 84, of Pontiac, died
Jan. 13, 2003.
He is survived by his brother and sister-
in-law, Dr. Bernard and Sylvia Schmidt of
Florida; sister, Charlotte Wetsman of
Southfield. Mr. Schmidt was the loving
brother of the late Saul Schmidt.

DANIEL R. SCHWENGER, 89, of
Boynton Beach, Fla., died Jan. 14, 2003.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56
years, Norma Schwenger; daughters and
son-in-law, Lynn Lederman of West
Bloomfield, Marcy Weisman of West
Bloomfield, Jan and Ronald Fishman of
Highland Park, Ill.; devoted and loving
grandchildren, Jade Lederman, Erin
Lederman, Samantha Lederman and
Andrea Lederman, Ryan Weisman,
Zachary Fishman and Ashley Fishman.
Interment at the B'nai Israel Memorial
Gardens. Contributions may be made to a

ROSALIND "ROZ" SIMON, 84, of Oak
Park, died Dec. 11, 2002.
She is survived by her son, Gilbert Simon
of Ferndale; brother and sister-in-law,
Maurice and Martha Miller of Centennial,
Colo.; sisters and brothers-In-law, Estelle
and Rodge Guest of Canoga Park, Calif,
Mary Lou and Harry Greer of California.
She was the beloved wife of the late Max
Simon.
