DAVID M. SCHWARTZ, 85, of
Southfield died Jan. 6, 2003. He was born
in Detroit and attended Northern High
School and Wayne State University. He
graduated from Wayne with a bachelor of
business administration degree in account-
ing in 1938. After graduating, he served in
the Pacific Theater in World War II and
rose to the rank of second lieutenant.
After the war, Mr. Schwartz returned to
Detroit to help with the family floor cov-
ering business. He and his brother Lou
established Quality Floor Covering
Company. He retired in
1987.
Mr. Schwartz was a
member of Temple
Emanu-El and a life
member of Knights of
Pythias. He was an avid
golfer and a charter
member and past presi-
dent of Tam O'Shanter

Country Club.

vived by sons and
daughters-in-law, Arthur and Pam,
Stephen and Mary Rea, Michael and
Susan, Daniel and Jo Ellen; grandchildren,

ROSE JANE SILVER, 91, of Southfield,
died Dec. 24, 2002. She was a life mem-
ber of Congregation Beth Ahm, a member
of B'nai B'rith Louis Marshall Chapter
and of Women's American ORT. She
worked as a secretary for the Beth Moses
Cemetery Association and was also a real-
tor.
She is survived by her sons and
