NORMAN GOLDIN; 94, of Walled
Lake, died Dec. 17, 2002.
He is survived by many loving nieces
and nephews. He was the dear brother
of the late Abe Goldin, Max Goldin,
Nathan Goldin, Morris Golden, Label
Goldin, Mary Richter and Bea Golsky.
Graveside services were held at
Machpelah Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to a charity of one's
choice. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

CELIA (SHEV) GRANT, 72, former
Detroiter of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
She is survived by her husband,
Steven; son and daughter-in-law,
Michael and Dottie Grant; daughters
and son-in-law, Darryl and Denise Tso,
Annette Gallow; grandchildren,
Dominick, Sunny, Chandler, Chason,
Jackie, Aaron; sisters, Mrs. Jennie
Bednarsh, Mrs. Martha Seltzer.

DR. WESLEY S. GREEN, 74, of
Beverly Hills, died
Dec. 20, 2002. He
attended the
University of
Michigan and was a
writer and editor for
the Gargoyle, a humor
magazine. He earned
his doctor of dental
Dr. Wesley
surgery degree in
Green
1953 from the
University of Detroit,
where he also taught
for a time before serving in Germany as
a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during
the Korean War.
Dr. Green converted a small house in
Southfield into a dental office, which he
shared with his father-in-law, Dr.
Bernard Seyburn.
In the early 1960s, Dr. Green was the
co-host of a radio call-in show dealing
with dental questions. As head of
Octagon Publishing, he released a series
of coloring books based on
Shakespearean plays and illustrated by
his eldest daughter. He also started a

small catering company called Marigold
Dill, which supplied gourmet cheese-
cakes to area restaurants. His most suc-
cessful sideline was the creation, with
his wife Arlene, of the Birmingham
Bead store and True Faux jewelry store
in Birmingham.
Dr. Green was member of the
Michigan Dental Society, the Detroit
District Dental Society and Mensa. He
was also a life member of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years,
Arlene Green; daughters and sons-in-
law, Melinda and Dr. Jeffrey Tepler of
New York, Amy Thrasher of Virginia,
Rebecca and Bruce Sher of
Massachusetts, Benita Green of Beverly
Hills; sons and daughter-in-law, B.
David Green of New Zealand, Elliott
Green and Robin Read of New York;
grandchildren, Jacob, Marissa and
Hanna Sher, Sarah, Ben, Elizabeth and
Emily Tepler, Emily and Bernice
Thrasher, Rowena and Saskia Rushton-
Green; mother-in-law, Alyce Seyburn;
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Beverly
and Dr. Walter Forman. He was the
dear father-in-law of the late Donald K.
Thrasher.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
to Hospice of Michigan and the
American Heart Association.

SAM KLEIN, 87, of Delray Beach,
Fla., died Dec. 18, 2002. He was a
retired produce merchant.
Mr. Klein is survived by his wife of
62 years, Helene Klein; sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Ronald and Lin Klein of
West Bloomfield, Dennis and Robin
Klein of Georgia; daughter and son-in-
law, Eilleen and Robert Gunsberg of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren,
Marcie Gunsberg, Jodi and Howard
Rankin, Jason and Lisa Klein, Jordana
Klein; great-grandchildren, Zachary
Rankin, Allie Rankin; sister, Bertha
Cohen of New York.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to the
National Council of Jewish Women,
National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
or the Kidney Foundation of Michigan.

MINA LEV, 88, of Tel Aviv, Israel, died
Dec. 5, 2002. Born in Poland, she came
to Israel as a pioneer in 1935. She ran a
restaurant and had a window decorating
business.
Mrs. Lev is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Amos and Nira
Lev of Farmington Hills; daughter-in-
law, Nilly Lev of Tel Aviv; grandchil-
