nursery school the
past two summers.

Raquel Leah Cohen will read from the
Torah on the occasion of her bat mitz-
vah at Congregation Shaarey Zedek
Southfield Saturday,
NOV. 16. She is the
daughter of
Annabel Cohen and
Marc and Patti
Cohen. Proud
grandparents are
Alberto and Bertha
Cohen and Tody
Barnett. She is also
the granddaughter
of the late Manuel and the late Regina
Cohen.
Raquel attends Bloomfield Hills
Middle School. She enjoys singing,
reading, writing, travel, playing the vio-
lin and summers as a Tamarack camper.
She appreciates the opportunity to help
others through her many mitzvah proj-
ects.

Joshua Ryan Epstein will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Friday,
Nov. 15, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Rhonda and
Mitchell Epstein.
Sharing in this spe-
cial occasion will be
his sister Jennifer
and his grandpar-
ents Nancy and Dr.
Albert Korby and
Marilyn and Marvin Epstein.
Josh is an eighth-grade honor student
at Orchard Lake Middle School in
West Bloomfield. He plays trumpet in
the school symphony band and enjoys
drawing, playing video games, golfing,
snowboarding and skiing. His most
meaningful mitzvah project was volun-
teering at Yad Ezra in Berkley. He also
participated with Temple Israel's Caring
Community at the Denby Center
Orphanage and PATH Shelter in
Detroit.
