Shana (Gerard) and Joel Kruger of
Miami Beach, Fla., announce with
great joy the birth of their son, Uri
Israel. Welcoming him home is big
brother Ozzie Aryeh Yitzchak. Proud

Southfield and Dr. Jack Gerard
Rosenblatt of Aventura, Fla. Uri is
named in memory of his paternal
great-grandmother Ida Wolfe.

Rachel (Lawson) and Daniel Shere of
Los Angeles welcome with much love
the birth of their son, Eitan Akiva.

Alexa Brooke Bernstein, daughter of
Todd Bernstein and Lezlie and David
Madgy, will read from the Torah on
the occasion of her
bat mitzvah Friday,
Oct. 4, at Temple
Israel. She is the
sister of Madison,
Danielle, Devin
and Dylon. Her
grandparents are
Sandy Miller, Lila
Schubiner, Phyllis
Madgy and Fred
Bernstein. Her proud great-grand-
mother is Addie Kurtz. She is also the
granddaughter of the late Dennis
Solomon, the late Dorothy and Aron
Miller and the late Sam Solomon.
Alexa attends Berkshire Middle
School in Birmingham. She enjoys
soccer, tennis and skiing. One of her
favorite mitzvah projects involved
working at Children's Hospital of
Michigan in Detroit with children
prior to their surgery.

Rebecca Rose Bright, daughter of
Lynn and Peter Bright, will celebrate
her bat mitzvah on
Friday, Oct. 4, at
Temple Israel. Her
sister Sydney and
brother Harrison,
along with grand-
parents Annette
and Herbert Rosen
and Martha
Briedenbach, will
share in the sim-
chah. She is also the grandchild of the
late Howard Breidenbach.
Attending Walnut Creek Middle
School in Walled Lake, Rebecca likes
language arts and enjoys dancing and
volleyball. She hopes someday to be a
social worker. Her most meaningful .
mitzvah project involved volunteering
at Yad Ezra in Berkley.

Hannah Beth Farkas will be called to
the Torah as a bat mitzvah at Mat
Shalom Synagogue on Saturday, Oct.
5. She is the daughter of Susan and
