SARAH M. MEYERS, 87, of Brevard,
N.C., formerly of Detroit, died Sept. 6,
2002. She was an alumna of Wayne
State University. She worked for the
Founders Society of the Detroit Institute
of Arts until her retirement in 1980
when she and her husband, Irwin,
moved to Bradenton, Fla. There she
worked for the Ringling Museum of Art
in Sarasota.
Mrs. Meyers is survived by her hus-
band, Irwin Meyers; sons and daughters-
in-law, Lawrence Meyers of Jersey.City,
N.J., Leonard and Joan Meyers of
Napoleon, Mich., Marvin and Lynn
Meyers of Austin, Texas, Richard Meyers
of Van Nuys, Calif; daughters and son-
in-law, Miriam and Henry Caplan of
Saskatoon, Canada, Sylvia Wunch of
Greensboro, N.C.; grandchildren,
Andrea and Todd Eustice, Daniel
Meyers, Dr. Deborah Caplan, Rachel
and Jeff Henry, Abigail Wunch, Rebecca
Wunch; great-granddaughter, Erin
Henry. Mrs. Meyers was the loving
daughter of the late Louis Medow, the
late Celia Medow; loving mother of the
late David Meyers; dear sister of the late
Molly Tendler, the late Sander Medow.
