Make Music

Music Together® Tot Tunes is offered in
West Bloomfield at the Eugene and
Marcia Applebaum Center for Jewish
Living, Congregation Shaarey Zedek
West Bloomfield. Classes will begin
Wednesday, Sept. 25, and run though
Nov. 27 (10 weeks). Sessions are offered
at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
The class provides an opportunity for
families to sing and dance to music creat-
ed to encourage movement, playfulness
and creativity. The activities are appropri-
ately designed for infants, toddlers and
preschoolers and their parents or care-
givers. The teacher, Jill Formack, former-
ly an elementary-preschool teacher, is a
registered Music Together® teacher.

Jewish Women's
Mystique Explored

"The Mystique of the Jewish Women —
Our Mission After Sept 11" will be pre-
sented by Mrs. Devorah Alevsky
Wednesday, Sept. 11, 8:30 p.m. at the
home of Yaffie Rabin, 14130 Balfour,
Oak Park.
Alevsky, ,coordinator of Chabad
House women's activities in Cleveland,
will share personal reflections on the late
Rebbetzin Ghana, mother of the late
Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
The program will be followed by a
"soup tasting" table. Suggested donation
is $6. The program is sponsored by
Lubavitch Women's Organization. For

The Jewish Parents Institute will offer
secular services for Rosh Hashanah and
Yom Kippur at the Jewish Community
Center in West Bloomfield.
The services, which are free of charge
to the public, will take place 2 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 7, for Rosh Hashanah
and 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, for Yom
Kippur.
The Jewish Parents Institute, a Jewish
Sunday school, offers classes for children
in kindergarten through grade seven.
Registration is still under way for the fall.
Classes begin Sept. 15.
