ALONG WITH HIS large menu
selections at Tringale's New York Pizzeria
& Deli ... opening this month on 12
Mile in Farmington Hills ... owner Gary
Tringale will have one of my favorites
from his one-time Joey's on Jefferson ...
Shrimp Joey, sautéed in a garlic lemon
juice that made it a standout.
CONGRATS ... to Marilyn and
Avery Warnick ... on their birthdays ...
the same date ... July 6 ... to brother.
Marvin and sister-in-law Shirley
Raskin ... on their 50th anniversary ...
to Shirley on her birthday six days later
... to Sean Goldman ... on his birthday.
HE WASN'T THERE when his

files were all burned in the Jewish News
fire ... but here are some of them ...
Customer. "What does this mean?
There's a fly in the bottom of my teacup?"
Lindy's waiter: "How should I know? I'm
a waiter, not a fortune teller." ...
Head waiter at Lindy's: "Sir, you have to
wear a tie."
Customer: "If I go out and buy a tie, can
I get a good table?"
Headvvaiter. "No, I don't like your pants
either." ...
Customer: "Waiter, these are very small
oysters.
Lindy's waiter: "Yes, sir."
Customer: 'And they don't, appear to be
