Julie I. Fershtman, an attorney from
Farmington Hills, was recently elected
to the board of directors of the
Oakland County Bar Association.
Fershtman served on the OCBA
Board since November 2000 through
an interim appointment. She is chair
of the State Bar of Michigan
Representative Assembly and serves
on the State Bar of Michigan Board
of Commissioners, including its exec-
utive committee.
Attorney Philip J. Kessler of
Franklin, president of Butzel Long,
has received two appointments by the
American College of Trial Lawyers.
He has been appointed chair of the
American College
of Trial Lawyers
National
Committee and is
also the Michigan
chair for the
American College
of Trial Lawyers.
He is a fellow of
the college as well.
Kessler is a

office. He has years of experience in

Circuit Courts. Kessler is a life mem-

Lynne Deitch of Birmingham, a

Robert Ziegelman of Bloomfield
Hills was awarded a gold medal from
the American Institute of Architects
Michigan. Ziegelman was a founding
member of the Civic Design
Committee; his work has con-

Birmingham.
Daniel Redstone of West Bloomfield
has been elevated to the College of
Fellows of the American Institute of
Architects. He has worked to remove
impediments to licensing, ease reci-
procity and facilitate cross-border
movement of architects.
