NANCY LYNN ALPERT, 43, of Oak
Park, died May 6.
She is survived by her mother, Helen
Alpert of Oak Park; sister, Pam
Holscher and fiance Ernie Kettlewell.
She was the loving daughter of the late
Irving Alpert.

ELI B. APT, 50, of Oak Park, died
May 11. Mr. Apt served for many
years as kashrut supervisor and reli-
gious co-ordinator for Jewish
patients at Sinai Hospital. Later he
entered the insurance profession. He
was also actively involved in the
activities of Young Israel of
Greenfield and Young Israel of Oak-
Woods as its sexton.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda
Apt; mother, Miriam Apt of Oak Park;
daughters, Esther and Deena of Oak
Park; brother and sister-in-law, Rabbi
Dovid and Sarah Apt of Oak Park; sis-
ter and brother-in-law, Bernice and
Rabbi Avrohom Hershoff of Israel. Mr.
Apt was the loving son of the late
Hugo Apt.
Contributions may be made to

Interment at Beth Tefilo Emanuel

EMANUEL M. BAKER, 84, of
Pompano Beach, Fla., died May 12.
He was a graduate of Wayne State Law
School and practiced for three years;
then he went into property manage-
ment and residential, industrial and
commercial building. He was also a
member of B'nai B'rith, member of
Tau Epsilon Rho Alumni and an avid
boater.
'Mr. Baker is survived by his wife of
60 years, Sylvia Baker; sons and
daughters-in-law, Richard and Darlene
Baker of Windsor, Ontario, Steven and
Lydia Baker of Windsor; daughter and
son-in-law, Janis and Larry Warren of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren,
David Baker, Nathan Baker, Dr.
Michael Warren, Jeff Warren,
Stephanie Warren and fiance, Danny
Harold, Shelley, Jason and Lindsay
Baker; brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
Glenn and Iris Goldstrom; caregiver,
Pat Morris.

Interment at Beth El Memorial Park.

JUNE BENNETT, 77, former
Detroiter of Laguna Woods, Calif,
died April 30.
She is survived by her loving hus-
band of 56 years, Arnold Bennett;
son, Mark Bennett (Gail Frommer) of
Long Beach, Calif.; daughters, Ruth
Bennett (John Cathcart) of Beverly
Hills, Calif, Julie Barr (Phillip Barr)
of Ann Arbor; grandchildren, Maya
and David Barr, Michael and
Matthew Cathcart. She was the
daughter of the late Joseph and
Pauline Becker.

IRWIN COHEN, 80, of Oak Park,
died May 12. He was a shoe salesman,
worked in card rooms in Las Vegas as a
cashier, loved boxing, gambling and
Las Vegas.
Mr. Cohen is survived by his friends,
Donald and Thelma Velick of
Farmington Hills.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial

EDWARD W. DAHLBERG, 79, of
Novi, died May 9. He was a librarian
at the Ferndale Public Library and the
former owner of Cambridge Book
Store at Wayne State University.
Mr. Dahlberg is survived by his wife,
Gladys "Told' Dahlberg; daughter and
son-in-law, Thea Dahlberg and Jack
Barsni; brother-in-law and sister-in-
law, Emil and Cynthia Lawton.
Interment at B'nai Israel Cemetery.
