Election Meeting

The American Jewish Committee,
Metropolitan Detroit Chapter, will host
its annual chapter meeting and elections
6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Max
M. Fisher Federation Building in.
Bloomfield Township.
This year's dinner meeting will fea-
ture Detroit Free Press writer David
Crumm. The program is titled
"Religious Encounters: Adventures in
the Spiritual Marketplace."
The chapter will thank outgoing
Chapter President Martin Baum and
will welcome new chapter president Dr.
Ken Wolf. A kosher light supper will
precede the formal meeting; $20

Judges' Forum
Hosts Candidates

The Farmington Area Republican
Club will host a 47th District Court
judges forum Wednesday, May 8,
7:30 p.m., in the Farmington Hills
City Council Chambers. Judge
Barry Howard, retired chief judge of
the Oakland County Circuit Court,
will moderate the forum, carried
live on Time Warner Channel 8 and
repeated throughout the campaign.
Five candidates have filed peti-
tions with the Bureau of Elections:
Paul Blizman; Jim Brady; Barry
Brickner; Larry Leib; and Alan
Vosko. The court represents
Farmington and Farmington Hills.

The Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah will host Bonnie Lipton 6:30
p.m. Monday, May 6, at Hadassah
House in West Bloomfield.
Lipton, national president of
Hadassah, will address a dinner honor-
ing founders and members of Hadassah
House Inc., and include the dedication
of the newly constructed Annette
Liberson Conference Room.
Founders are donors who have made
a one-time commitment of $15,000 to
