OLGA J. GANS, 94, of West

Bloomfield, died April 20. She was a
life member of Congregation
Shaarey Zedek and Hadassah.
Mrs. Gans is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Dr. Robert
and Susan Gans of Bloomfield Hills,
Ted and Dorothy Gans of
Waterford; daughter, Gail Horwitz
of Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren,
Lisa and Steven Goldberg, David
and Beth Gans, Barbara Bloom, Julie
and Ian Allen and great-grandchil-
dren, Jamie and Chad Gans, Perry,
Ian and Jolie Goldberg. She was the
beloved wife of the late Ellis I. Gans;
loving sister of the late Edith
Wenokur, the late Diane Wenokur,
the late Harry Zapolsky; dear moth-
er-in-law of the late Marvin
Horwitz.
Interment at Clover Hill Park

ANN GREEN, 85, of Oak Park,

died April 18. She was a concert
pianist.
Mrs. Green is survived by her hus-

Stockbridge; daughters and sons-in-
law, Janice and Dr. Daniel Hull of
San Diego, Patricia and Rusty

sister, Nettie Fingerhut. She was the
dear sister of the late Rose Smith
and the late Harry Samphir.

HELEN (GRAFF) HAYMER for-

mer Detroiter of Los Angeles died
April 13.
She is survived by her daughter,
Susan Haymer; sons and daughters-
in-law, James and Donna Haymer,
Robert and Carol Haymer; grand-
children, Max, Emily, Jonathan,
Daniel and Morgan; sisters-in-law
and brother in-law, Shirley Graff of
Detroit, Sally Fleg of Los Angeles;
Enid and Ellis Fleg. She was the
beloved wife of the late Johnny
Haymer; loving sister of the late

Norman Graff; loving daughter of
the late Ida and George Graff.
Services were held at Mt. Sinai
Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

TOBY HERSEN, 89, of Farmington

Hills, died April 12. She was born
in Strykow, Poland. Mrs. Hersen was
a pharmacist. She was also a lifelong
Zionist. She and her
husband, Ben Hersen,
survived the Holocaust
and came to the United
States in 1950 by way
of Sweden and Canada.
A long-time Oak Park
resident, she was a
member of Na'amat and
was fluent in several languages.
Mrs. Hersen is survived by her
daughters and sons-in-law, Flo4rence
and Joel Steinberg, Susan and Barry
Gross; grandchildren, Diana
Steinberg, Jonathan Steinberg,
Danielle Steinberg, Lauren Gross,
Caroline Gross ; Paul Gross. She was
the wife of the late Ben Hersen.

W. Maple Road, West Bloomfield,

choice. Interment at Hebrew

DR. MARK R. HOFF, 47, formerly
of Southfield of Sarasota, Fla., died
April 4.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon;
son, Zachary; daughter, Chelsey;
parents, Morris and Sara Hoff of
Delray beach, Fla.; brothers and sis-
ter-in-law, Dr. Steven Hoff and
Sheila Kent of Sarasota, Phillip and
Frannie Hoff of Brooklyn; mother-
in-law, Louise Baughman of
Sarasota.
Services were held in Sarasota.

WARREN A. HUSID, 46, of

Muskegon, died April 16. He
attended the Culinary Institute of
America in Hyde Park, N.Y., where
he graduated with an associate of
occupational science culinary arts
degree in 1978. He then received his
bachelor's degree at Davenport
College in Grand Rapids.
Mr. Husid received many awards
during his career, including the
Southwest Michigan Chefs de
Cuisine Association Diploma of
Merit and the regional chapter
Award of Excellence for Chef and
Child; he had been Chef of the Year

for two years. The American
Culinary Federation certified Mr.
Husid as an executive chef and he
was inducted into the American
Academy of Chefs in 1996. In addi-
tion, he was founder of and presi-
dent of the Lakeshore Chapter of
ASCF and served as chair of the
local Chef and Child Foundation for
the American Culinary Federation,
Southwestern Michigan Chapter. He
was employed by Baker College in
Muskegon as the department chair
of culinary arts and food and bever-
age management and was instrumen-
tal in establishing the Marquette
Room, a fine-dining restaurant
located on the Baker College
Campus. His culinary arts program
grew from 25 students to 150 stu-
dents in five years. He was also a
member and past secretary of the
Muskegon Recreation Club.
Mr. Husid is survived by his
beloved wife, Mary; daughter, Deana
Mansfield of Grand Rapids; grand-
son, Brenden; mother, Helen Husid
of West Bloomfield; brother, Harley
Husid of Spring Lake; father-in-law
and mother-in-law, Richard and
Donna Mansfeild of Bailey; broth-
ers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael
Mansfield, James and Susan
Mansfield, Michelle and Richard
Stewart, Diana and Daniel Walcott.
He was the loving son of the late
Harry Husid.
Interment at Lakeside Cemetery.

LEO INFELD, 78, of Southfield,

died April 15.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Jennie Infeld; daughters and sons-in-
law, Ilene and Martin Kuretzky of
West Bloomfield, Carol and Dr.
Larry Mangen of Scottsdale, Ariz.,
Gayle Leipsitz of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, Kevin Kuretzky,
Sarah (Steve Edelman) Kuretzky, A.J.
Mangen, Carly Leipsitz and Harry
Liepsitz; great-grandson, Jacob
Edelman. He was the dear brother of
the late Max Infeld.
Interment at Adat Shalom

LAURETTA LIMOND, 91, former

Detroiter of Florida, died April 20.
She was a lifetime member of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek, and a
member of Women's American ORT
and Brandeis University. She also
belonged to Aventura Turnberry
Synagogue.
Mrs. Limond is survived by her
daughter, Marilyn of Marina Del
Rey, Calif.; son Michael of Aventura,
Fla.; grandchildren, Ellen and David
Sperling of West Hills, Calif.; great-
grandchildren, Tyler and Blake
Sperling; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Park
and Mildred Hutto of Southfield.
Services in Florida.

FAE WEINGARDEN MARBELL,

87, formerly of Detroit of Chicago,
died April 15.
She is survived by her daughter
and son-in-law, Barbara and Warren

JACK MAYDEN, 84, former

Detroiter of Nashville, Tenn., died
April 18.
He is survived by his wife, Esther
Sperling Mayden; son and daughter-
in-law, Ted and Barbara Mayden of
Nashville; daughter and son-in-law,
Linda and Dr. Lawrence Singer of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren,
Michael and Eric Singer, Samantha,
Eugenia and Talia Mayden.

MORRISON, former Detroiter of

was an accomplished equestrienne
and was very active in programs
