pl assover was still more than a week away when
students at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit began attending model seders.
One seder was held for each grade in the
lower school, from kindergarten through fifth grade. And
parents were not just welcome to attend — they were
expected to.
Part of the mission of the Farmington Hills school is
family education. For young people to grow up with
pride in their Jewish heritage, the school feels they need
to learn and celebrate at home as well as in school.
Through family education, Hillel gives parents tools to
reinforce Jewish values. E
