Milford. In his free time, he enjoys
photography, reading, skateboard-
ing and snowboarding. Currently,
he serves as historian and assistant
chaplain of his Boy Scout troop.
Throughout the past year, Jeramy
has volunteered for the Boy Scouts
of America. He participated in the
temple's mitzvah day as well as the
one for the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit. His most
enjoyable project has been as a
madrich (teacher's aide) at the tem-
ple's Sunday school.

Alex Serwer, son of Susan and
Harold Serwer, will become a bar
mitzvah on Saturday, March 23, at
Temple Beth El. He is the grandson
of Dr. Charles and Dorothy
Benjamin, the late Samuel and
Judy Serwer and brother of Melissa.
Alex is an honor
student at
Berkshire Middle
School in
Birmingham, who
enjoys playing on
the basketball
team. He loves
spending his sum-
mers at Camp
Tanuga in Kalkaska with his
friends. For his mitzvah project, he
volunteered at Yad Ezra in Berkley
and taught underachieving children
to read and play chess.

Leonard Weinberger of Orchard
Lake will be called to the Torah as
a bar mitzvah on Saturday, March
23, at Congregation B'nai Moshe. •
He is the adoring son of Leslie and
Howard Weinberger and brother of
Jessica and Lindsey Weinberger.
The proud gramdma is Gita
Weinberger of West Bloomfield.
Leonard is also
the grandson of
the late Leonard
Weinberger and
Shirley and Paul
Sabo.
He attends
Abbott Middle
School in West
Bloomfield. His
hobbies and interests include ice
hockey, snowboarding, basketball,
drawing, dancing and telling jokes.
For one of his mitzvah projects, he
volunteered at the Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield,
where he danced and spent time
with the residents.
