Samantha Leigh Wiener will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, March 23, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Sammie is the daughter of
Julie - and Marty Wiener and sister of
Danny. Sharing in
their pride are

An honor stu-
dent at West Hills
Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills,
Sammie enjoys dancing, singing,
volleyball and spending time with
her friends. She recently completed
Adat Shalom's 13 Mitzvot program,
where her most rewarding project
was donating time at Yad Ezra in
Berkley.
Out-Of-State Bat Mitzvah
Jennifer Ariel Nelson will celebrate
her bat mitzvah at Beth El
Congregation in Akron, Ohio, on
Saturday, March 23. She is the
daughter of Jerry and Cindy
Nelson, sister of Eric, Lisa and
Adam. Proud grandparents are
Frank and Ruth Nelson of
Farmington Hills
and Dr. Cyrill
and Evelyn Gross
of Boca Raton,
Fla. She is also
the granddaughter
of the late Eric
Goldsmith.
Jennifer is an
honor student at
Revere Middle
School in Bath, Ohio. She is active
in skiing and tennis. Jennifer
attends B'nai B'rith Camp Beber in
Wisconsin. She is a candidate for
the rabbi's award and has volun-
teered at the Hebrew School
Academy for her mitzvah project.
