Tzedakah Fair and Great Purim
Parcel Project.

William Barrett Frank, son of Mary

and Bryant Frank, will be called to
read from the Torah at his bar mitz-
vah on Friday, March 1, at Temple
Israel. His brother Alex and grand-
parents Hazel and Harry
Archambault and
Beverly Frank will
share in the sim-
chah. He is also
the grandson of the
late William Frank.
Skate boarding,
basketball and
snow skating, as
well as attending
Camp NeBagamon
in Wisconsin, are activities he enjoys.
He attends Walnut Creek Middle
School In West Bloomfield, where he
is an honor student. When Temple
Israel housed the homeless, he helped
serve meals and lie assisted at Yad
Ezra in Berkley.

Jamie Ilyse Maniloff will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on
Saturday, March 2, at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek West Bloomfield,
B'nai Israel Center. She is the daugh-
ter of Sue and Howard Maniloff and
sister of Eric. Her proud grandparents
are Norma and
Nelson Pont and
Lillian Maniloff.
Jamie is also the
granddaughter of
the late Irwin
Maniloff. •
Jamie is an
honor student at
Orchard Lake
Middle School in
West Bloomfield. She enjoys writing
short stories and poetry, dancing,
being on the computer and attending
Tamarack Camps. Her mitzvah proj-
ects include serving meals to residents
of a homeless shelter and delivering
Purim baskets to community mem-
bers.

Andrew Lane Lederman, son of
Karen and Marcus Lederman and
brother of Sean, Jordan and Zachary,
will become a bar
mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Friday,
March 1. He is the
grandchild of Meyer
Apple and the late
Beverly Apple, the
late Ann and Sam
Lederman.

Attending Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield, Andy is
interested in the computer, soccer
and hockey. Volunteering at JARC
was particularly significant to him as
part of his mitzvah projects.

Lydia Joann Paterni will celebrate her
bat mitzvah at Temple Shir Shalom
on Saturday, March 2. Helping to
share in this momentous occasion are
parents, Flo and Patrick Paterni,
brother Spencer, Lydia's bubbie
Sherry Robbins, family and friends.
Lydia is the granddaughter of the late
Sam Robbins and the late James and
Mary Paterni.
Lydia is a seventh-grader at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
She plays cello and enjoys creative
writing, creating web pages, in-line
skating, playing basketball, watching
movies, babysitting and having fun
with friends. For
her mitzvah proj-
ect; she played
cello at a nursing
home, assisted in a
childcare center,
served breakfast at
the Coalition On
Temporary Shelter
in Detroit and vol-
unteered for Blight
Busters, a volunteer organization in
Detroit.

Mara Fae Penfil will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday,
March 2, at Congregation B'nai
Moshe. Proud parents are Helene
Penfil and Jay Penfil. Mara has a
younger brother, Michael. Honored
grandparents are Jack and Shoshana
Weinberger and Gerald and Joan
Penfil.
Mara is a seventh-grade honor stu-
dent at Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. She enjoys basketball, in-line
skating, dancing,
gymnastics, camp
\
and music. Her
mitzvah projects
include Dor L'Dor
at Fleischman
Residence in West
Bloomfield and
Yad Ezra in
Berkley. Her
involvement will
continue with JARC in Farmington
Hills.
